5 Tips to Start Decluttering and Organizing Your Home

1.   If you think you have too much stuff, and you want to fix it, you MUST change your life so more goes out of the door than comes in.  Throw or giveaway more than you buy.

2.   Once organized and decluttered it is easier to stay organized and decluttered.  Take the time to clean up as you go.

3.   Start small:  a room, a closet, a shelf, a drawer, or a part of the basement.   Set modest goals.

4.   Keep it small and clean up after yourself:  work with paper grocery bags, filling them with either trash or giveaway items. Set modest goals.

5.   Don’t let the process of getting organized trash your space and disorganize it worse than before.   Keep it simple.

BEGIN SOMEWHERE, BUT BEGIN.
